Macro plants around Denmark

Plants can be both beautiful and also kind of ugly, but there’s some beauty in even the most ugly ones if you look closely enough. This was an experiment in macro plant photography around Denmark including some great carnivorous plants.

The carnivorous plants grow extremely think in places, you wouldn’t want to be an insect walking around on the ground here. At first I was trying to be careful not to walk on them but they were literally everywhere on the tracks and you couldn’t avoid them.

I really have no idea what this is, I guess it’s flowering or fruiting, either lichen, moss or similar, extremely small yet bright red.

On a sunny day you can see life clearly when you look around and look closely. I’ll be updating the blog with a lot more plant and macro photography, I’ve been getting a little behind, and there’s quite a few pictures I need to sort through, though these photos were taken last week.
