The foreshore at Rockingham just south of Perth is extremely diverse. The areas mix of limestone cliffs and reefs interspersed with beautiful white beaches makes it a magnet for snorkeling, scuba diving and many other recreation activities.

The picture above is a classic example of the diversity within the area. In the background you can see someone flying on a jetboard while in the foreground there’s a couple of commercial fisherman who have just bought in their net while kids to the right are playing on the beach.

The rocks around the area are also very interesting, this is a close up of one type of rock along the beach, a conglomeration of small washed polished grains.

All of the rock structures around here seem to have had previous lives, just a little reminder of how old this coastal area is.

Pretty plain looking beach grit here, but then if you look a little closer.

There were some gnarly old trees around the area which really had some character to them.

The grain and lines in this next one was beautiful, like a withered old face.
